Day 305 - The Tear Collector Giveaway

CONTEST CLOSED!

I posted my review for THE TEAR COLLECTOR yesterday, and while I wasn't thrilled with the novel I've found some other people that absolutely loved it! I'm very happy they found something in there that I didn't. So while the story lacked me for me in places, you may find that the story is well put together and all that jazz.

So I'm here to offer my ARC copy of THE TEAR COLLECTOR to one person.

To Enter:

-Comment that you'd like the book and PLEASE leave your email address. (I'm afraid I won't be counting your entry if you fail to do so, sorry)

For Extra Entries:

+1 -Follow me on twitter!! (Button located on my right sidebar - please leave your @name so I can verify)
+1 -Comment on my review! (<---- click the link)
+1 - Answer this question: What's the most recent book that you really wanted to like but just couldn't get into?? (I'm super curious)

Please enter me. All the reviews I've seen for this books have been not-so-good but I want to read it to see how vampires live off tears. It's very different.

+1 I made myself read the first 2 books of The Vampire Diaries but could not make myself read the 3rd book. For me, the TV show is much better and more entertaining.

And, I really wanted to get into Shrinking Violet - what a fun idea for a book. But...it's driving me nuts. I'll post a review of it either tomorrow or today, but let's just say it didn't quite live up to what I expected.

+1 The most recent book I've wanted to like but just couldn't get into is probably the one I'm still struggling through right now. Darkside of the Morgue by Raymond Benson. It sounds wonderful and perfect for me, but I'm just not following it very well right now.

+1 Probably...Weedflower. I read it for a book club but ending up not finishing the book or the club. It was just bad.

+1 I could not get into A Map of the Known World by Lisa Sandall. Part of it I think was because I don't usually dig the normal boo hoo realistic fiction story and to be honest the main girl character and her mother were constantly changing. I couldn't get any feel for the characters and so I pushed through the book and was glad when it was over.

It's hard to get into a book you just can't relate to at all.

+1 Hm. I think Prada & Prejudice is the recent book I wanted to get into but I couldn't. Really, I tried, but I think it's because of the history it involved. I'm not really a history kind of person. lol.

+1 The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley is a book I just couldn't get into no matter how hard I tried. It recieved so many good reviews, I couldn't understand why it didn't appeal to me. I think it was a little hard to follow such a young girl being a chemist wiz.

Thanks for the opportunity. Indigo

+1 A book that I read that I really wanted to like but just couldn't get into. . .hmmm. I guess I'll go with Wonderland (read the review in my blog). It was a local author, so I desparately wanted to like it. But it was just BAD.

+1 answer: That's a tough one. I haven't read a book lately that I really disliked but I was disappointed in Tunnels. It's a middle grade book. The premise was fantastic, but it wasn't as good as I hoped. I liked it, but didn't love it like I thought I would.

+1- I couldn't get into Covet by J.R. Ward. Besides the lack of intimacy, the storyline just didn't work for me. Every reader has their own taste in books and that just wasn't mine I guess.

Honestly, I just wasn't into it with Blood Promise. I dont know, maybe cause it had been awhile since I read the first three and I felt dteached from the characters?
