Day 222 - Thursday Thunks [11]

Welcome to the July 16th version of Thursday Thunks!
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog.

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want. Write about it on your blog... simple as that. Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care! Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post. Please mention us in your post, and link back to the blog here.Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs. Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks! Thats what all this is about afterall, isn't it? We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the number 15 and the color of windows.

1. Do you know anyone with heterochromia? Does it freak you out or do you think it's interesting?

No, I don't. I've never seen a person in real life with the condition. I have seen a dog or two, but no cats either. It doesn't freak me out at all though. I think it's unique and beautiful actually.

2. Should a 5th face be added to Mount Rushmore? If so, who?

Uh, no because that would be a big ass waste of money and time.

3. If you could live on any planet other than earth, which one would you choose and why?

In real life - none because I'd pretty much die on any other planet in our Solar System. I took Astrononmy last year in college, two semesters worth, and the planets make look pretty but the atmospheres are deadly. So I'll stick with Earth, thank you very much.... But say all the planets were comfortable and okay to live on, I'd pick Uranus just so I can say "Oh, yeah I'm from Uranus" lol

4. We're going to spend the night at a reportedly haunted location, are you going with us?If so, which reportedly haunted place are we going?

Hmm, considering I'd be the first one to die and/or get injured at this said haunted location I think I'll pass. Thanks though =)

5. Did you play The Queen's Meme this week? If so, was it fair of The Queen to put Berleen in the dungeon by association with Kimber? (We all know Kimber deserved it, but Berleen?!)

I'm afraid I missed the memo on this one lol

6. What color is the towel(s) hanging in your bathroom?

Well, I have an assortment of colored towels hanging for use in the bathroom. The ones that we're not supposed to touch are white with fish and seahorses on them. Water/ocean theme + Bathrooms = I know verrrry orignal =)

7. Tell us something funny that happened to you recently.

Hm well just an hour ago some guy named Wisdom hit on me in the parking lot on my college campus. I laughed when he told me his name. He didn't mind but I just thought it was funny.

8. We just bought you a cow. Do you kill it & grill it, feed it & milk it, or sell it?

I eat meat, sorry can't help it. But I couldn't eat a live cow staring me in the face. I'd feel horrible sending it off to get diced up. I'd feed it, definitely. Name is Bessie too =) or Heffer if it was a boy. I miss Rocko's Modern Life lol. I'd maybe milk it, or try to at least, but I wouldn't drink the milk even though I'm a huge milk fan. Something about warm milk coming out of cow utters scares me. I'd rather pretend it's just another man-made beverage product. Don't pop my bubble!

9. It's 115 degrees outside (46 degrees Celsius), are you able to go without Air Conditioning?

Ha, no. I need the A/C on when it's like in the high 80s.

10. When you visit the zoo do you wonder which animal tastes better with a bit of butter & spices?

No sorry. I don't think of eating zoo animals.

11. Dog ate your homework/work papers. Does it crap out Shakespeare, quantum physics, or just crap?

Just crap I'm afraid. That would be awesome if one of my boys crapped out my homework and it was still legible and whole. I'd totally still turn it in.

12. We are taking you to a broadway show, what are we going to see?

Never been to one. I want to go though. When are you taking me? Let's go see The Lion King or Cats...I've always wanted to see Cats. I wanna know what the big deal is!!!

13. Gunshots in your neighborhood. Pop, pop, pop. Do you go out to take a look, or hide?

How bout hide behind my door while peeking out to be nosy? I'm not going outside, I don't want to get shot.

Haha no, I recently got them taken out (beginning of May). Wanna see? ====>

3. Peanut Butter - creamy or crunchy?

I'm creamy all the way!

4. Get up off your butt. Take 5 steps. Which leg did you start out on?

No, I missed it =( I had to work.

Nope, but two of my friends graduated from college. One didn't celebrate cuz she's silly and didn't care. The other invited me to her party but I couldn't go.

8. White with black stripes or black with white stripes?

Black with white stripes - I don't know why.

9. If we were to call your 6th grade teacher, what would they say about you?

Jeez, first I gotta think that far back to remember who it was.....Gimme a minute....I'm drawing a blank...Oh yeah, my middle school had different "teams" for our grades. So we all had like 5 or 6 different teachers. So gotta be more specific on who you'd like to talk to. But I suppose I was an alright 6th grader - pretty average with a tendency to do pretty okay work with a sprinkle of excellent work.

10. Can you draw a perfect circle?

No, and if you can you suck!!

11. What was your favorite scratch & sniff sticker scent?

I wasn't ever the scratch and sniff type...

12. What does your sibling do for a living?

My younger sister works with my mom at a 7-11. My older sister moved the California and last I heard she got demoted from a narcotics detective to a securtiy guard for a school. *giggles* Karma's a bitch huh sis? lol (Sorry bout that lol)

13. How many light switches and electrical outlets are in the room that you are in right now?

I think you could have limited it to either light switches OR electrical outlets...*sigh*...let's see, 6 electrical outlets and one light switch on the wall. I guess that wasn't so bad.

14. Do you know sign language?

No, but I wish I did. My stupid college will let you take it but they don't really count it as a foreign language. *flips them off* That could be foreign, right?

15. Do you step on cracks in the sidewalk?

Lol, sometimes. My mom's back is just fine =)

16. And the sheets on your bed look like....?

White with blue stripes. I definitely need to go bed sheet shopping...

17. What is something that everyone else has, but you don't?

Babies lol. Everyone I went to high school with has one or two...or even three. Apparently it's cool to procreate with each other all willy nilly like.

Day 208 - Thursday Thunks [9]

Welcome to the July 2nd version of Thursday Thunks!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the number 14 and the color of your mother's hair dye.

1. When you close a door, do you close it quick and just let it slam or do you hold the knob and slowly shut it tight?

I do both, depending on how quite I want to be. I try to do it quietly all the time but I've been known to let doors slam all the time.

2.Train A is moving at 60 miles an hour. Train B is moving at 22 miles an hour. They will pass each other at X time. Now what color shoes are you wearing when train A derails?

This is question I failed on the SAT!!!! Thanks so much for bringing the dreadful memory back *sobs* Who cares what color shoes I'm wearing, the train derailed, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!

3. What if M&M's grew on trees? What color M&M tree would you have?

How awesome would that be?! I would have a lot of M&M trees in my yard. I would have one for EVERY color. Then go M&M picking every day! YAY =)

4. How many petals on a flower does it take to make it the perfect bloom?

No need to have a certain number of petals. The perfect bloom is simply a flower that isn't afraid to open itself entirely to the world!

5. I took you to spend $421.67 on you, what did we spend that money on?

Books no doubt, and maybe a non-fat, extra hot, white mocha. No whip please =)

6. If you were a squash, what type of squash would you be?

I'm not a huge fan of squash but I can eat it. How bout butternut squash. I hate the flavor I just like the name =)

7. Have you ever gotten a wrong number call and ended up talking to the person for longer than 5 minutes?

Not that I can recall. If I have I'm sure it wasn't by choice. It was probably the other person not wanting to shut up because they were lonely.

8. Why haven't you joined Berleen & Kimber at Insanity Cafe yet? Do we stink?

That's a good question. I have no idea why, I'll have to check it out. As to question about if you two stink, well you don't smell that bad =)

9. Now for one of Ber's questions back when TT was brand new... Shampoo bottles say lather, rinse, repeat... do you?

I'm afraid not. I'm a one time lather kinda gal. Gotta be economically smart these days. Shampoo doesn't grow on trees like M&Ms.

10. It's July, the year is half over. Do you see it as "whew that part is over" or best is yet to come?

I see it more as, "God damn, where the hell did the first half of the year go??"

11. Why do you do the Thursday Thunks meme?

Because it's uber fun! Gives everyone a chance to get to know one another. I have to do better on commenting and visiting other Thunkers though, shame on me!

Three Muskateers

I'm sure I was.

7. How often do you clean your toilet?

Not as often as I should.

I'm so lucky to have taken after my mother (white girl) and not my father (the asian one) *sigh* I burn terribly. I burned last summer and still have the marks lol true story! But no, after a good burning session I usually get tan afterwards, but it sucks to go through all that just to get darker for a lil while.

9. On average, how many hours a sleep do you get a night?

Probably around 6ish.

10 How many hours did you get last night?

8 - wow lol bonus hours!!

Day 181 - Thursday (or I was too lazy so I posted it on Friday) Thunks [7]

Welcome to the June 4th version of Thursday Thunks!
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color rojo and the number 334.

1. How many golf balls can fit inside a full sized school bus?

Hmm, I guess a whole lot.

2. Who decided the alphabet order?

I could Google the answer but I'm too lazy. Whoever came up with the alphabet was the boss I'm guessing.

3. Why doesn't McDonald's sell hotdogs?

Good question. I'll have to call them and ask since I'm best buds with Ronald McDonald.

4. You go to a nice restaurant and they are offering free samples of cheese. You take a bite and it's delicious. Then they tell you the cheese is processed with maggots in it which make the great texture and flavor. Do you vomit at the thought of maggots, think "oh well but no more", or just ask for another sample?

If it was good I'd like to say it wouldn't matter. I'd prolly make a face and throw something at the waiter or whoever offered me the cheese. I'd be pissed they didn't tell me beforehand. I don't know about asking for another sample. I guess it depends on how much I enjoyed it.

5. Would you rather ride on a cloud or slide down a rainbow?

I'm digging the cloud ride.

6. Do you know/care who Heidi & Spencer are?

I know who they are...sadly. I don't care to know who they are. Sorry for "The Hills" fans out there.

7. Have you ever used Butt Paste?

No I haven't. But I actually know what that is and saw it recently at Toys R' Us!! I told my mom that I would call the diaper rash cream that if I had invented it. Well I'm actually leaning more to Baby Butt Cream or just Butt Cream. I think it sounds better.

8. Pie or cake?

Definitely a cake fan right here.

9. Do you remember when MTV used to play music videos?

Yeah I do. I hardly watch MTV at all anymore.

Day 173 - Thursday Thunks [6]

Welcome to the May 28th version of Thursday Thunks!
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by THE THURSDAY THUNKERS!!!!!

These questions were submitted by Thursday Thunker participants! (so don't blame Kimber & Berleen for the quality of the questions.....)

...we are picking up where we left off last week, which explains why we are starting with #21 instead of #1. Great work on the questions submissions everyone! It gave Kimber & I a much needed mental break. We posted these questions just as they were listed on the participant's blog.

21. How many states have you been in?

While driving to Walt Disney World in Florida - 5.

22. If a sexist Man is called a pig, what is a sexist Woman called?

A bitch? I don't really use the word pig for dudes. I call the guy a douche and tack on the word sexist if I feel the need *shrugs*

23. You see the one person who you absolutely despise. If you were guarentee'd that he/she couldn't say or do anything back to you.... What would you do??

Lol, wow good question. A part of me wants to think of something really evil. Another part wants to just flip them off and walk away... decisions...decisions.

24. How many states are to the right of you? And don’t give us a map to look at.

What's with the state questions... I'm glad you said right though, because that would be zero! I'm on the east coast.

25. You can go anywhere in the world for free. Where are you?

Only because I'm lonely - Atlanta, GA to see my ex.

Any other day - The countryside of China. Always wanted to see it in person.

26. HOW MANY FINGERS AM I HOLDING UP?

Uhh, who cares?

27. Are you a boxing fan? Do you think there will be a rematch of the Hatton-Pacquiao fight?

No I'm not but I'm guessing you are and you want a rematch =)

28. What is the most disgusting thing you have ever eaten?

I'm sorta picky so I guess the food that had the most disgusting consistency I can think of at the moment was boiled okra...pretty nasty flavor too.

29. Is it cloudy right now?

Probably, it's dark.

30. What is your dream job?

Honestly? A rockstar...true story lol

31. Someone gives you a $500 gift card to WalMart or Target. What are you going to buy?

Honestly, again? Books and maybe a few other things lol and that's a BIG maybe

32. When you were little, what did you want to be "when you grow up"? And, how much different is your occupation now from where you thought it would be when you were younger?

I think I wanted to be a doctor. I'm a college student going for Accounting *blech* and I work at an Aquarium dealing with tickets and customer service *double blech*...I can't stand hospitals anymore, so I don't know which is worse lol

33. What was your favorite toy as a child?

It's sad that I can't remember. *sigh*

34. How do you think these things up??

What? My answers? Hmmm...

35. Why do you think so many "fake" veterans get away with pretending? Why don't people question them more (especially the media who eats up their stories?)

Uh, I guess I'm out of the loop on this one.

36. What is the last place you had a good cry and why?

I'm assuming you mean where...and it was in my bedroom. It wasn't necessarily "good", it was long, hard, and exhausting. And it was a break up, took me a while to get that cry out, so I guess it was healthy for me.

37. What do you mean?

Next question...

38. Which Sesame Street Character do you relate with the most and why?

I was never a big Sesame Street watcher. I liked the brown elephant thing for some reason though.

39. What one song would you listen to over and over if you absolutely had to?

This is like asking me to pick my favorite song and I just can't...so yep, next question.

40. Did you ever make what you believed at the time to be a horrible mistake - that in hindsight turned out to lead you on the best path in your life?

Not yet. All of my situations are usually reversed lol. I think it's great at the time but instead turns into the horrible mistake, go figure.

41. If you could change one thing on your person, what would it be?

Selfishly - my weight lol. I'm working on it though.

42. What’s your favorite show to watch on television nowadays?

Gotta go with House, I watch it the most.

43. Do you believe there is life after death?

I want to believe there is. Do I? I don't know.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Day 166 - Thursday Thunks [5]

Welcome to the May 21st version of Thursday Thunks!
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by THE THURSDAY THUNKERS!!!!!

These questions were submitted by last week's Thursday Thunk's participants! (so don't blame Kimber & Berleen for the quality of the questions.....)

1. Have you seen the new Star Trek movie, and if so what did you think?

Nope, not yet. I'm not a big Star Trek fan but I still want to see it =)

2. Which popular sitcom character (past or present) are you most like?

I don't know. How bout who do I want to be like? =D I like that question better. Dr. Lisa Cutty, on House. I love how she puts up with House. She kicks major ass! I love that show, period! (Sidenote: I had no idea her real name is Lisa too)

3. What kind of dreams do you have?

All sorts, I suppose. I heard everyone dreams every night even if they don't remember it. I mostly don't remember them.

4. Bugger it. Go get a tattoo and come back. Right, now answer me this, what ees eet?

Finish up the one on my arm that says "Forgive". I want "Yourself" written below it and somehow work some color into it.

5. Do you think you could be on American Idol with the singing voice you have now without any voice training?

Probably not. I apologize all the time to my mom for not having a great singing voice, or model looks, or acting skills . I tell her I'm sorry I'm not famous and can't buy her things lol, she laughs at me and says I'm silly.

6. How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I thought that was one whole question...
Answer: Who the hell cares?!?
*smiles prettily*

7. If you were a tree in a Dr. Seuss book, what would you look like?

I saw this question on the blog it was created on and really didn't want to answer it lol. I want to be an awesome and unique tree but I don't have the brain cells to describe it to you at the moment. All I know is it would be awesome...and all the other trees would be totally jealous...yeah

8. Twilight? I'm addicted/Who cares/What the hell is Twilight?

I'm not like crack-addicted to it, but I do like Twilight. So deal with it!!

9. Do you think Kimber and Berleen do a dube while writing these questions?

I think this is Bud's question lol. And no, I think all the questions are just from their weird as hell natural/beautiful creativity banks. *smiles brightly*

10. What the worst injury you've ever had?

No real accidents in life that I can think of. But I did have open heart surgery when I was 19. April 2007.

11. What is your favorite dessert?

I like simple ice cream, the cheap Pet kind to be precise. Neopolitan, yum! Oh and also Cake Batter ice cream from Coldstone, but not a lot because it's too rich. I can live off the cheap stuff!

12. What do you prefer...beach or mountains?

Never been to the mountains. I live by the beach, mind you it's not pretty beach lol, but I like going sometimes. I don't think I can answer the question as of right now.

13. What movie have you seen that still makes you cry?

Off the top of my head: Terms of Endearment, gets me everytime. (Although I really wanted to add Sex and The City - Charlotte tells Big "NO!" really loud and holding Carrie after he hurts her at the wedding. Totally made me cry.)

14. Why are you making me submit a question? Are you too lazy to think of one yourself?

I think the person who came up with this one was lazy lol

15. How often do you do laundry?

Whenever it needs to be done. I live with my mom and sister, so basically whenever she tells me to. I personally think it should be twice a week rather then every fricking day. My mom is crazy.

16. What is your favorite movie of all time, and why?

I hate this question, along with favorite book, movie...etc.
I have way too many so...basically I refuse to answer it...deal with it! *smiles prettily*

17. If you won a million dollars in the lottery, would you keep working?

Uh, duh. That million dollars, or the less than million dollars I'd get after taxes, would only last a little while. I wouldn't even get all the money at one time so I think I'd have to keep working.

18. If there was a war of the gummies, would you be on the gummi bear side or the gummi worm side?

Tee, hee my question!!

I'm a gummi bear gal myself.

19. What's your favorite comic strip?

I always enjoyed Garfield.

20. Close your eyes… imagine you are in the perfect room/place… describe it.

Ah this one could take a while. For the sake of time saving. I'd be outside, the sun shining (but not directly in my eyes), a light breeze every now and again. I'd be curled up in a really comfy chair. No bugs around please.

.....to be continued next week.... (you didn't want all 40-some questions this week, did you?)

Day 159 - Thursday Thunks [4]

Welcome to the May 14th version of Thursday Thunks!
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, taken over by Berleen, the color carrot orange and the number 94.

1. You are at the store when suddenly 2 men walk in with guns and rob the place. Are you the hero, quiet & follow the rules type, or try to make a run for it?

Honestly, I would probably be quiet, follow the rules and still somehow get shot =(

2. Do you like Twizzlers?

Nope, afraid not.

3. Are you a YouTube watcher?

I have been known to watch a YouTube video here and there.

4. When a auto glass store calls you and asks if you have a chip or crack in your windshield, what do you tell them?

"Uh, neither? Unless you know something I don't, my windshield is fine..." (But to answer the question I'd probably use the word crack)

5. What is the age difference between you and your father?

Well, I don't really talk to my father but if I had to throw a number out there I'd say probably close to 30 years.

6. Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow?

Lol, no

7. Camping - recreational vehicle or tent?

I wish I could say tent, but if I had the choice I'd go with an RV. Me and bugs don't get along. But I know if I had to or if someone I was with really wanted to, then I'd do the tent. I've never been camping so...

8. Have you ever had to call 9-1-1?

Yes, I think maybe twice.

9. Who is your favorite blog in the Thursday Thunk bloggers to visit?

It's a tie - WTIT and Suburban (Bizarre) Bazaar. These two constantly make me laugh!

10. How long do you think you could live locked in your house on the food that you have on hand right now?

I'm not good at guestimations but maybe 8 months-ish *shrugs*. Yes, we have a lot of food in our house lol.

11. Pepper - shaker or grinder?

Shaker, the grinder doesn't grind all the way and then I end up eating big pieces of pepper, yuck! And I'm not a big pepper fan anyway.

12. What state (or country if you are not in the US) is 2 states west of you?

Haha, I'm so glad that picture was provided. Kentucky is the 2nd state west of me. But if we're not counting the actual 2nd state, the answer would be Missouri. The question confused me lol

13. What color do you believe you look best in?

Probably black - but that's not really a color huh? Maybe blue...don't really know.

14. and once again... next week is Thursday Thunkers Questions... so....What is your question submission for next week?

Hmm first submission -

If there was a war of the gummies, would you be on the gummi bear side or the gummi worm side?

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen & Kimber via Skype, the color cranberry (is that a color?) and the number 1,999,784,926,901.

1. Why the heck did you come back this week to do this meme?
I had nothing else better to do =D

2. Ever whiten your teeth?

No, I haven't but I'd like to.

3. Do you drive the speed limit?

No, not really. I don't excessively speed but I do drive over the limit.

4. Did the dog eat your homework?

Not recently but that has happened to me before. He even ate my philosophy book! (Proof ------->)

5. How many bites does it take to get to the center of a watermelon?

Hmm, a whole lot I suppose! Well not really, it depends on how big said bites are.

6. Did you eat paint chips as a child?

No I didn't. I've never even seen a paint chip other than on tv. Sad, isn't it?

7. If someone rang your doorbell/knocked on your door at 1am, would you answer it?

After rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and saying "WTF?!? after looking at the clock, I probably wouldn't unless I knew the person. And if I did know the person I'd totally smack the crap out of them for waking me up! Otherwise I'd watch them keep knocking (or ringing) until they walked away. And if they didn't then I'd open the door and mase them!!!

8. "Amazingly Smooth" makes you think of what?

Legs...lol I don't know why.

9. What was the last stupid thing someone said to you? (not counting this meme's questions)

I work at an aquarium and I get stupid questions/comments thrown at me all day.
The latest:
"If I parked down at the other building and I don't want to walk back, how do I get back down there?"

"Hmm I guess I could teleport you... Loser!"

10. Would you eat a stick of butter for $100?
Haha, um I probably would if I was guaranteed to get the money. That'd be really gross though.

11. Find the nearest fabric tab, not counting your clothing you are wearing. What does it say the object is made of and where was it made?

My purse, 100% cotton. Made in China (surprise, surprise lol)

12. What is the strangest name you've ever heard someone name their child (or a person you met... however you want to answer it)?

I really like unique names but sometimes people go overboard with it. I can't think of any off the top of my head sadly but I never liked the name Bob just fyi. (Sorry to any Bob's out there)

13. Why is some toilet paper really soft and others are really hard?

So a worldwide debate could commence about the subject =D I don't know lol

Day 145 - Thursday Thunks [2]

Welcome to the April 30th version of Thursday Thunks!

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen & Kimber via phone & Skype conference, the color mango and the number 70566.

1. What color is your front door?

It's blue!

2. We discussed our folks in previous TT so now tell me about your siblings. If you are an only child, tell me whether or not you wanted siblings, older, younger etc.

I have two sisters. An older and a younger one. My older sister is in her thirties and she has two kids (boy & girl). Her and her family live in California and I'm afraid we don't talk much.

My younger sister lives with my mother and I, along with her 18-month-old daughter (who I love more than anything).

I did have another sister and I really love telling this story. I was born September 15, 1987. My sister, Nina, was born September 14, 1988. She unfortunately died a few weeks after birth. I find myself imagining what life would have been like growing up with another younger sister. And what fun our birthdays would have been. I wish I had gotten the chance to know her.

3. What color/type butterfly is your favorite?

Oh I don't know!! Let me google some pictures and pic a fave... One moment please...

I do think all butterflies (and even moths) are beautiful!! This one however, lives in South Africa and I searched the webpage I found it on but couldn't find it's name.

4. Will you be celebrating Cinco De Mayo?

Probably not.

5. Oprah- love her, hate her, or don't care?

Honestly?... I don't care.

6. Are you worried about the spread of swine flu?

Yes and no. Yes - because this could be a terrible and scary thing if it does spread. I don't really want to think about it. My ex-boyfriend has family in Mexico and he plans on visiting in a few weeks but he's slowly changing his mind. I don't want him to go.

And no - I guess because it hasn't hit close to home yet so it's still "out there" to me.

7. Hard or soft pillows?

I like mine to be in the middle - really soft pillows suck. So I do lean more towards the softer side of things but throw in a bit o' firmness please.

8. How many trees are in your neighbor's yard?

Front or back? And left or right neighbor? Come on now, gotta be specific!!

9. What was the color of the last car you saw?

It was red.

10. When does your driver's license expire?

Let's check shall we? Exp: 9-15-2012 (My 25 birthday - eesh!)

11. Look at the clock on your computer and type the numbers backwards.

6:59

12. When you put your pants on, what leg do you put in first?

I never really paid attention. I want to say right since that's my dominant side but I know I've gone with my left first before.

13. How would you respond to this letter if you were an advice columnist.
I am an ugly woman. I was an ugly baby and child even! It is a fact. I am 36 now and I have never had a boyfriend, and I am still a virgin.

Due to me not having men in my life, I have poured everything I have in to education and my career. At 36 I am the youngest (and first female CEO) at a big, successful, tech company. I have over 200 personal patents and millions of pounds in investments.

I have everything: huge house, holiday villa in Spain, 3 cars, power boat, a race horse, etc. But as much I try to talk myself into everything being “great” I cannot help but to miss that special someone to share it all with.

Most of my friends are married with kids and I feel like I am gradually drifting away from them also.Where can I find someone to marry an ugly woman?

Wow...umm hmm let's see:

First off, congratulations on all of your accompishments! You are way ahead of the game and you definitely deserve a pat on the back. But I must say you're negative attitude towards yourself can radiate off you and keep others away. I don't mean to sound corny, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have seen some "not so pretty" people that have significant others. So I'm thinking maybe if you start telling yourself you're not ugly and start liking yourself than that will so.

Otherwise you can always adopt =D

haha

Day 138 - Thursday Thunks [1]

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color eggshell and the number 101.

1. If you could sky write anything you wanted, what would it be?

What a tough one - It would definitely depend on my mood at the time. But if it were to be right now at this precise moment, I'd go with " There is no restart button, make it count! "

2. Did you get drunk at your prom?

No I didn't. I didn't really do anything crazy on prom night.

3. What is your favorite spice to use cooking?

Ah, well being I'm not a very big one to cook. I don't really have a favorite spice. I do like that red stuff you sprinkle on deviled eggs though. Can't for the life of me think of the name at the moment, it'll come to me.

4. What color is your roof?

It a dark charcoal grey color. Shingles, nothing fancy.

5. In a land far, far away I _____________

...would be a fairy princess! No just kidding, I would probably start my life over. (& yes I know I said there's no restart button but let me pretend, if only for a little while.)

6. In the Miss USA pageant, Miss California was asked; "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?" and her answer was; "Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman," Carrie said to a mix of boos and applause. "No offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman." Do you think that cost her the crown?

I've seen a bit of this on the news. Personally, I support same sex marriage, so my opinion may be a little bias. I respect her beliefs in believing what she will about marriage but I do think she probably should have thought before she spoke. In a competition like this, you kind of have to tell the judges what they want to hear and still adhere to your beliefs. I'm not faulting her because she spoke what she truly felt. But I do think it cost her major points for not "sugarcoating" her response.

7. Do you watch Miss USA/Miss America pageants?

No I don't. I did watch Miss Congeniality though 8)

8. Have you ever driven/ridden on a tractor?

No I haven't and you know what, I've always wanted to at least ride on one if not drive it. And I'm not talking a little one, I mean one of those big suckers!! But I'd probably settle for a little one if given the chance.

9. For the parents - what cartoon/children show did your child watch obsessively? (Hey, if you aren't a parent, maybe a niece or nephew...)

I'm not a parent, but I'm an aunt of an 18-month-old and she watches Sponge Bob a lot. She really likes the music not so much what's going on. One thing she does watch obsessively, that has nothing to do with cartoons, is the On Demand channel from Cox. It's crazy, if I put it on she drops whatever she's doing and watches it smiling. It's pretty funny.

10. If I set a level on your living room floor - would it show that it was level?

Um, probably not. Then again I'm not really sure.

11. What was the last restaurant you ate at?

Red Lobsters, yesterday. Wasn't all that great. I was in the mood for some scallops and they weren't the best.

12. What's the picture on your wall calendar for this month?

I'm at work so I can't go look. I'd try to describe it but I really can't, so let's just move on.

13. Are you superstitious?

Not particularly. I think I used to be and I don't really know why. I used to cross myself when I rode by graveyards when I was younger. I have no idea why I did that but I don't do it anymore. I can't think of any more examples at the moment but I'm not very superstitious at the present time.

14. If I get into your car and turn on the radio - what type of radio station will I hear?

Well you wouldn't hear the radio, you'd hear my iPod. But if you unplugged my iPod, first I'd slap your hand, and then you'd hear whatever station I left it on before plugging it in. I'm not a big radio listener anymore.

15. Would you rather wake up with a snake in your bed or a lizard?

A lizard, an iguana preferably. Like the small ones, not those huge ones. I don't not like snakes, I just think that waking up to a snake would scare the crap out of me more than a small iguana.

16. Do you think schools have changed at all since the Columbine tragedy 10 years ago? In what ways?

Yes and no. I think teenagers will always be the way they are: troubled, cruel, and confused. Not all of them, believe me. It's just high school is hard for a lot of teenagers out there and I'm not cutting any slack for the shooters at Columbine or any other school that had a similar tragedy, it's just I've seen what teenagers can do and how just not nice they can be. Actually it's people in general that are like that. I think schools are doing a lot of good things to prevent another Columbine tragedy, but they can only do so much. It's up to the students ,and maybe even the faculty, to not let another tragedy occur.
